RED TAIL TRAVELER: SPRING EDITION
Paris, Profiteroles & Paddington's Newest Hotel
Dear Red Tail Travelers,
This Spring has been full of exciting updates that I want to share with you! In this edition, you’ll find a mix of travel stories, hotel reviews and helpful tips to make your travel experiences exceptional.
Your Guide to Taking the Chunnel
Have you ever heard of the Channel Tunnel, often called the "Chunnel"? It's an incredible feat of engineering that connects the United Kingdom with mainland Europe, running beneath the English Channel. Picture this: you're in Paris, and with a swift journey on a train, you find yourself in London in no time!
Announcing the Newly Opened
Grand Hotel Bellevue London!
Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of the Grand Hotel Bellevue London, nestled in Norfolk Square in Paddington. This hidden gem, with a 4-star rating, sits conveniently close to renowned landmarks such as Paddington Station and Hyde Park.
The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the warm flicker of the fireplace and the promise of a cozy spot on their snug sofas. The interiors are a fusion of vintage charm and contemporary elegance, expertly curated by the talented designer Fabrizio Casiragh. And let's talk about the colors! Bold blues, sage greens, and retro oranges add a playful vibe to every corner.
Hungry or thirsty? Swing by the Pondicherry Bar for a trendy turn-of-the-century vibe and enjoy a cocktail, espresso, or a glass of wine.

The service at the Grand Hotel Bellevue is top notch — very personal and attentive. My morning cappucino was prepared by the same friendly barista as my mocktail in the evening. Overall, I highly recommend a stay at this hotel. If you’re looking for a beautifully designed 4-star hotel in a central location, the Grand Hotel Bellevue offers personalized and attentive service without ever feeling overcrowded.
Restaurant Review: Madame Brasserie 🥐
Tucked away on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, Madame Brasserie serves up more than just a meal—it offers an unforgettable dining experience against the backdrop of one of the world's most iconic landmarks. With 2 Michelin Star chef Thierry Marx, the genius behind the molecular gastronomy magic, at the helm, my evening at this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary.
What sets Madame Brasserie apart is its commitment to local flavors, sourcing all ingredients from the Paris region. From the moment the cauliflower soup, dotted with quinoa and crispy tofu, was poured at my table, I knew I was in for a treat. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor, it set the tone for the culinary journey ahead.
Then came the flaky pastry stuffed with a heavenly mix of meats—a savory delight that teased my taste buds before the pièce de résistance. The beef bourguignon, tender enough to melt in my mouth, was paired with the silkiest whipped potatoes I've ever tasted.

But let's talk dessert, shall we? Being six months pregnant, my sweet tooth was in overdrive, and the chocolate profiteroles with ice cream stole the show. The warm, gooey chocolate mingling with the cold, creamy ice cream was pure bliss—a dessert dream that I still find myself craving.

How NOT to Plan Your Vacation!
If you find yourself saying “I need a vacation from my vacation”, chances are you’ve made one of these three mistakes…
Overpacking your itinerary:
