This is a bit of a change from their earlier plans of launching in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Starting in mid-2025, U.S. citizens are required to have this travel authorization to enter most European countries.}

^{Starting in 2024, visitors to Amsterdam will be required to pay a daily tax, which will be determined based on factors such as the duration of their stay and the type of accommodation they choose. The tax aims to address the challenges associated with the influx of visitors by generating additional revenue to support the maintenance and enhancement of Amsterdam's cultural and historical heritage, as well as investments in public spaces and amenities.}
