Last one before baby arrives

Stepping away for a few months to be present with my baby boy

FROM MY DESK

Hello Red Tail Travelers,

This is my last newsletter until May.

I'm wrapping up client planning this week before heading into maternity leave on March 1st. I won't be taking on new trips until I'm back, but if you're thinking about European or milestone travel for fall 2026 or beyond, you can reach out then.

I've been thinking a lot about what it means to step away from work. To be honest, I'm nervous and a little scared. I'm the type of person who enjoys structure, organizing my days in ways that optimize productivity. Big on checklists and details. What happens when all of my structure, all of my planning is disrupted by another season of sleepless nights, half-eaten meals, a crying baby, and my toddler running circles around me? How will I get everything done?

I've done this before, and the truth is, everything I need to do is simply slow down. Be present. To sit with my son and speak to each other. To get to know one another. It might feel uncomfortable in the way that real rest often does when you're used to being productive. But I'm going to embrace this rest and cherish these few months with my baby boy.

I'll be back in May with fresh energy and a clearer sense of how I want to run this business going forward.

See you then,
Susie
